Hutschenhausen Weihnachtsmarkt

Mommy and Daddy and I went to Hutschenhausen Weihnachmarkt...it was a really nice night and I got to ride in my big boy stoller seat again...in the Kipling sac and with the snowsuit Meme sent -- I have lots of winter wear I have to get through, so if you sent me something, it should make it's appearance soon...

It was a small market, but it was PACKED with people. I was a little antsy...more of our friends were there and they all wanted to get into my face to get me to smile and they all wanted to hold me and I wasn't too happy with all of that. So Daddy took me home and Mommy stayed with Laura and Claudia...I think they were drinking Gluhwein to stay warm...they should have had a snowsuit like mine!

This is me and Mommy at the market and me and Daddy just before leaving. We didn't take too many photos, but at the next market there will be more!

Sunday Busy Sunday

Today, I had a lot to do...I had my photos taken again on base...and then we had to do some shopping, which was a good thing because we ran into SANTA there! So, after having photos taken, I had to look good and pose some more with Santa. Don't we look good? I really don't know what to think of this dude yet, but maybe I'll have more of an opinion next year.

After posing for more pictures, we went to my second birthday party -- it was Alexandra's party and everyone couldn't wait to see me. Auntie Claudia loves to talk to me in German and to hold me and she says "kook kook" a lot. I wonder what that means?!

Geesh, it sure is tiring being the popular little man in our circle of friends...but someone cute and adorable has to do it...and that is me.

My day of FIRSTS!!

Today, Mommy, Daddy, Claudia and Mishy and I headed out to the Landstuhl Weihnachtsmarkt (Christams Market)...and there was a lot of things that were first times for me...

Naturally, this was my first Christmas Market. That sounded good and exciting...

Then, I had my first time in my big boy stroller seat. Uncle Bill & Aunt Biene sent me the Kipling winter sac that lined my stroller, so I was nice and toasty warm. Mommy says I have to give them and Aunt Jenny B a big call out -- I wore the union suit and LL Bean fleecey she sent me -- so THANKS EVERYONE FOR KEEPING ME WARM!!!

I had my first ride on the Bahnhof (train) -- we all took the train into Landstuhl, so that no one had to drive and try to find parking. Since the train station is just a couple blocks down from our house, we walked down and caught the train. I cried when a big train sped past us at the station...it scared me...but eveyone coo'd and talked to me, so I didn't cry for very long!

It was a really fun night and we saw lots of friends there and everyone was so happy to see me. I was a very good boy, looking at all the lights and listening to the music and chatter. The train ride home was really full...lots of people going home from some big event and when Mommy took off my hat, everyone chuckled at all my crazy hair!!

There are lots more markets we are going to, so keep checking back to see where I make all of my appearances!!

5 months and lovin' it!

Well....I have made it to my 5th month...and boy did I get the coolest gift ever!

Mommy ordered me a MegaSaucer and it is pretty darn cool. It has a circus theme (which is really awesome...it makes me think of my favorite show, JoJo's Circus) and it has this round thing that spins and plays music and a dangling lion that I love to lick and some other spinning things that make noise....

Daddy calls my Mega "the Captain Kirk chair"....who's Captain Kirk and is his Mega as cool as mine, or what? Someone has to fill me in on this guy!

Lately, Mommy has been rolling me around working with me while I am on my tummy and getting me used to the way rolling over feels. I also started eating carrots at lunchtime (I didn't like the cereal all that much) and rumor has it that there are some green beans, sweet potatoes, bananas and applesauce coming my way soon too...that is going to be exciting to try those out!

So...other than my Mega and gymnastic classes with Mommy, not much is going on...I like taking my schnully (pacifier) out of my mouth and trying to put it back in by myself -- it's frustrating, but I am working on it...

Keep checking back for new stuff on the site...Mommy has lots planned for us and I am sure new stuff will be posted all the time!!!

What the...?! Where's my bottle?

And what IS that stuff? I got hungry tonight and instead of just giving me my bottle like they usually do, I got stuck in my car seat on the kitchen table. I had to wear this piece of cloth thing around my neck...then they used this flat stick doo-hickey to put some kind of stuff in my mouth.

I was all like, "where's the bottle, Mom?" and she was laughing and Daddy kept flashing light in my face and I was like, "um, excuse me...yeah, we're all having fun here...where is my bottle?!"

Now, I have to admit, the stuff wasn't all that bad...Mommy & Daddy were oooh-ing and aaaaah-ing, so I must have done something right. If you ask me, more of that stuff ended up running down my chin and onto that cloth thingy around my neck than down into my stomach.

After Daddy gave me some of that stuff, Mommy gave me my bottle...boy was I happy about that...that was a goooood bottle (i waited and worked long enough to get it). Then I was a little confused ...where'd that new stuff go?

Mommy gave me a little bit more of it before I finished all of my bottle...not bad...I wonder if I am going to have to do this again... ... ...

Mommy's Note: Terry and I are totally winging this "moving to solid foods" thing. On the box of rice cereal it says for the first serving, "Mix 4 - 5 Tbl of milk/formula with 1 Tbl cereal. For subsequent feedings, gradually increase amount of cereal." ---> what does that mean?

I mean, I understand what that is saying. What I don't understand is... how often do we give this to him? How quickly do we increase the cereal amount and how much should he be digesting at one time?

My "What to Expect" Book has a lot to say about moving into this phase, without saying anything specifically. Websites say a lot too, without providing much guidance... ...to all you Mommies out there... HELP!

Advice, suggestions, "what I did"'s...guidance or comments will be thoroughly appreciated!!

Haaar ~ It's the PIRATE's life for me!!

Aaaaaar there mateys - 'tis a pirates life for me ... or at least that's what Mommy and Daddy tell me!!

We dressed up as Captain Hook, Peter Pan and Tinker Bell .... we made lots of people laugh ... but don't we all look really good???

Germans don't celebrate Hallowe'en, but we went out to our friends house ... first to our landlords (Sabine & Jurgen), then we went to see Auntie Claudia, then to Oma Henny & Opa Reiner's house and finished off visiting Auntie Laura & Uncle Rob ... I had a lot of fun and slept in the car inbetween visits.

I can't wait for next Hallowe'en ... I wonder what I will be!!
